My Sentiments About Ticks and Abundance of Other “Invasives”

On the Tick issue that is back in our face this gift giving season.

What to do?

I'm in awe with Ticks stealth aptitude of invasion. It so mimics our very own in what we humans have done to our living landscape. What we see happening now with this new Tick scare should scare us on how it litteraly parallels our very own actions to home. Earth.

This may sound strange for some of you, but here we go. We humans are invaders too, to this planet in as much the same way as we are seeing Ticks have on our environment. In as an expansive way as even other invasives.

And we villianize them.

Stop for a moment this holiday season of love and forgiveness and look at what we too have done (collectively). Especially at the following landscapes we've over powered with our vision of abundance: consider our environmental, social, political, capitalistic impacts....seems to me, there's little difference between us and Ticks (invasives).

I think, this massive invasion of Ticks (and other invasives) parallels our own and this is Nature’s way of taking Earth back. Of saving herself and her grandmother.

Gaia Theory by James Lovelock.
Symbiotic Planet by Lynn Margulis.
Symbiotic Earth by John Feldman.
The works of James MacAllister.

There's volumes of evidence that Earth is a closed symbiotic mutual working system where all is inter-related and inter-connected to all.

What goes around, comes around.

Been saying that a long time.

That's what I meant years ago in my first liberating plant walks.

Hard to grasp back then, I know, it was....but its true and can be seen as evidence now.

What goes around comes around.

And my heart asks for forgiveness….
